Hyderabad: The ministers for Home and Factories said that the accidents in the industries were due to companies not following the safety rules.
“I have instructed factory inspectors to check units which are accident prone every two months and I have also highlighted the problems faced by contract workers including non-payment of salaries”, said Mr.reddy at the 44th National Safety Day celebrations.
“All workers should be given pension and also ex gratia in case of any untoward incident “, he said.“We are also reviewing the contract labourer licence system”, he said.
The TS government is committed to make the state an ‘accident free’ industry. Being industry friendly does not mean that there will not be safety and regulation”, he said.
