The TS government is organizing on a grand scale the 126th jayanthi celebrations of Salar Jung, who had updated the world about the Deccan culture. Special programmes are arranged in the Salar Jung museum for a week. It is one of the most famous museums in the world displaying 90,000 different articles belonging to 40 countries.
Salar Jung III was the man who had secured the valuable articles. He had worked as prime minister during the Nizam rule. His actual name is Mir Yusuf Ali Khan.
Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali launched the 126th jayanthi celebrations today. He said that Salar brought fame and name to Telangana which will remain forever and stated that the museum will be made as number one in the world.
Director Nagender Reddy said that other attractions in the museum will be within the reach at a cost of Rs 5 crore by next year. Reddy said that Salar resigned as pm within two years only to develop culture and art. His heir Hethramali Khan said that Salar, who identified the values of art spent his entire life to collect the valuable. Visitors feel a new experience in the new look of the museum.
