Bollywood hero Salman Khan’s hit-and-run case will continue to plague him longer than expected as a family of the victim today moved the Supreme Court challenging the verdict of the Bombay High verdict which acquitted the actor on the ground that the prosecution failed to prove the charges.
The family of the victim, who was killed in the accident has charged that it was Salman who drove the car in an inebriated condition and caused the accident. The Maharashtra government has also challenged the verdict and the case was posted for hearing on February 12.
Now, two days before the hearing, the victim’s family has also filed an appeal. The widow and son of the deceased took the step today who stated that they were shocked at the verdict.
Salman has roped in Congressman and lawyer Kapil Sibal to defend him in Supreme Court.
