Within a decade, new technology has increased the storage capacity of memory cards a whopping 1000 times! Sandisk’s new 128 GB microSD memory card can store upto 16 hours of full HD recording, 7,500 songs, 3,200 photos and over 125 apps, the company said announcing the new benchmark in this area. Sandisk unveiled its new innovation at the Mobile World Congress in Spain, described it as smaller than a fingernail, ‘ultra’ microSD card, is designed for Android phones and tablets.
“SanDisk’s high-performance 128GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC memory card will reshape the way users interact with their devices,” said Stuart Robinson, director of the company. It delivers twice the speed of ordinary microSD memory cards and offers the highest video recording performance available.
MicroSD card technology was launched in 2004 with 128 MB capacity. The card will be available at 200 dollars.
