Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft to visit Hyderabad was kept secret

Satya-NadellaOn Sunday Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella met K. Chandrasekhar Rao the Chief Minister of Telangana at his camp office in Begumpet. The visit of MS CEO was kept secret and the media was not informed.

CMO officials too remained tight-lipped on the issue. They did not allow anyone to take take snaps of the meeting. A student of the HPS Mr Nadella, is the son of a former State bureaucrat N Yugandhar. on Sunday he landed at the Begumpet airport in the city. After he assumed charge as CEO of the global IT giant, this is his first visit to the city.

According to the highly-placed source confirmed, “His meeting with the CM was kept a secret following Mr Nadella’s request.”

As per the CMO sources said that the meeting between Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella lasted for about half-an-hour. On Monday Mr Nadella is expected to leave the city.

A close source said that, “He paid a courtesy visit to KCR at around 5 pm. They discussed about the IT sector in Telangana in general and Hyderabad in particular. They also spoke about making Hyderabad a smart-city. KCR sought the cooperation of Microsoft for making Telangana the top IT destination of the country. KCR briefed him about the various initiatives being taken by the Telangana government for the development of the IT sector in the state”.

On Sunday morning over the phone Mr Nadella spoke to N. Chandrababu Naidu the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh over the phone since he could not meet him in person.

On Monday Mr Naidu will be leaving Hyderabad to attend a meeting with IT companies in Vizag.

It is expected that Mr. Nadella will meet AP CM N. Chandrababu Naidu in a day or two, but the meeting is yet to be confirmed.

On Monday he is also expected to address employees of Microsoft India Development Centre at Gachibowli.
