SC stays Uttarakhand HC’s ruling

scThe supreme court has stayed the ruling of Uttarakhand High Court which quashed the Centre’s decision of imposing President’s Rule in the state and revived the Harish Rawat-led Congress government. Following this, the centre has moved the apex court and a two judge bench stayed the implementation of High Court’s verdict. The Supreme Court has stated that the stay would be in force till April 27 and it would hear arguments of both the parties on that day. With this the Centre got a reprieve as a united opposition mounted attack on Modi-led government for ‘murdering democracy’
