The Malaysian Airlines has released the identity of the five Indians aboard the Malaysian Airlines MH370 flight almost confirmed to have crashed near Vietnam. The names are as follows: Chetana Kolekar (55), Swanand Kolekar (23), Vinod Kolekar (59), Chandrika Sharma (51) and Kranti Shirsath (44). There was another Indian origin Canadian Muktesh Mukherjee too on board the same flight.
Kolekars seem to be from the same family, but their details are yet to come in. Chandrika Sharma is said to be a Haryanvi person settled in Chennai, works for International Collective in Support of Fishworkers (ICSF) and is known to be heading to attend a conference in Mongolia. Details of other persons are yet to come.
Meanwhile, sighting of oil slick in Vietnamese waters noticed by Vietnam Air Force planes almost confirms the crash though the site is yet to be identified, say observers.
