In Hyderabad on Saturday the Deity, Ministry of Communications Secretary Harpreet Singh officially launched the program and Information Technology, Government of India, has approved the “Scheme for IT Mass Literacy”. The main objective of this scheme is to make one person in every household in the country an e-literate.
Harpreet Singh has distributed Tablets to 40 Meeseva operators (VLE’s) who have come from four pilot mandals.
GADA Hanumantha Rao Special officer participated in the program and assured full support at district level. ESD Director B Sridhar and CSC SPV CEO Dr Dinesh Kumar Tyagi have signed a MoU. 30,000 people will be trained under NDLM-IT Mass Literacy program (7,500 per mandal) in 1st phase.
‘Prati Inta e-Sakshatha’ is the mission name in Telangana. By this mission every one can operate a computer, mobile phone, send and receive emails and search Internet. There are two categories L1- 20 hrs course and L-2 40 hrs course for citizens
Around 60,000 people will be surveyed in these mandals to identify 30,000 beneficiaries. 10 VLE’s (Meeseva Operators) from each mandal to carry out a survey to identify the non IT literates.
It is estimated to be completed NDLM beneficiary survey at Telangana by 10th of January 2015 and training of the beneficiaries is targeted to be completed by March 31, 2015. BPL families a wage loss compensation of Rs 300 for L1 category and Rs 600 for L2 category training has been provisioned.
