Hyderabad: No further peace talks between Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh regarding Eamcet. The Telangana state council of higher education had written a letter to the AP government officials to serve on the proposed admissions committee, under a common Eamcet held by them. Earlier this month, the governor had conducted meetings with the officials of both the states .But the education minister G. Jagadish Reddy informed that the government will conduct its own Eamcet at any cost and AP can be part of it.
According to the media, TSCHE has written to the AP chief secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao asking him to nominate an official of the state govt to organize a common Eamcet.
The AP HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has also indirectly hinted at a separate Eamcet and the schedule in the notification issued by the (APSCHE).
But time is running out for the preparatory processes prior to the entrance test to be completed. As soon as possible schedule will be announced.
Sources said “Our stand is very clear. We have written to AP asking for its representative to be named for the common admissions committee. But if AP does not want to respond, it is not a roadblock for us. We will announce the schedule soon”.
