On Thursday the Telangana Minister for Housing, Law and Endowments A. Indrakaran Reddy has requested the Centre to set up 50 to 100-bedded ESI Hospitals in districts and a super speciality ESI Hospital at Nirmal. He made this request in his meeting with Union Minister for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya.
The Union Minister states in responding the request that he would soon depute Labour Welfare Commissioner to visit the State and take up initiative for setting up more ESI Hospitals in Telangana.
Mr. Reddy requested special allocation of funds for the welfare of beedi workers in Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Warangal and Medak districts from the Union Labour Ministry.
The Telangana minister detailed on the issue of housing that, the status of housing projects being implemented now including Indira Awas Yojana in rural areas and Rajeev Gruha Kalpa in urban areas. All cooperation to K. Chandrasekhar Rao the TS Chief Minister’s plan to make Hyderabad a slum-free City assured the Union Minister.
