hemantA Shiv Sena MLA in Maharashtra has created an ugly fuss inside a train on the issue of berth allotment leading to delayed start of the train. In the process, he put to trouble nearly 2000 passengers.

The MLA from Nanded- Mr Hemanth Patil has boarded the Devgarh Express on Wednesday and was furious after he was allotted side berths in a second A/C coach. He insisted that a particular berth be allotted to him, but the officials could not fulfil his demand

To ensure that the train did not move out of the platform, he kept pulling the chain.

Scheduled to leave at 09:10 pm, the train moved out of the station only at 09:57 pm. Later, it was forced to stop near Masjid station, from where it left at 10:06 pm.

The incident further delayed two other long-distance trains – CST-Mangalore and Siddheshwar Express – by 15-20 minutes. Four other local trains were also held.

After persuading two other passengers, the authorities finally arranged the berths the MLA asked for.
