The chief minister KCR literally rained sops on Warangal during his tour of the district. He promised a special development authority for the development of the district. An allocation of Rs.300 crores would be made for Warangal. He discussed with the officials on various developmental projects. He reviewed the implementation of the welfare projects. He said a textile park would be constructed in the town in 2 or 3 thousand acres and the district collector already released Rs.100 crores to acquire land for this purpose.
The CM said that the town soon would have military school on par with Korukonda Sainik school. As Warangal is set to become an educational hub, veterinary and agricultural colleges and a tribal university would come up in the district. Hygienic veg and non veg markets also would be constructed. He instructed the officials to speed up the works under Mission Bhagiratha. Janagama, Station Ghanpur and Palakurthy will receive Godavari water under Mission Bhagiratha. Mid Manaru Dam will be filled with Godavari water and Devadula project will be linked to Ramappa Cheruvu by June next year. Water will be carried to Laknavaram and Ghanapuram lakes from Ramappa cheruvu, he said.
He said that a 12 storied police commissioner’s office and a multi storied collector’s office would be built with latest technology. A theme park would be constructed in 200 acres and a building would be constructed for the dance and music college.
