Sivarmakrishnan Committee Bought Thousands of Acres Near Donakonda, Claims TDP MP

Untitled-4Senior Telugu Desam Party leader and Member of Parliament Rayapti Sambasiva Rao on Sunday claimed that the Centre’s formation Sivarmakrishnan Committee members have bought thousands of acres land near Donakonda area, giving fire to a new dimension to the process of locating capital of Andhra Pradesh.

“Since they purchased lands there, they are in favor of Donakonda for building the capital,” said Rayapati.

He suggested that the place between Vijayawada- Guntur would be most ideal place for the new capital for Andhra Pradesh.

The Sivaramakrishnan Committee constitutes of Rathin Roy, Director, National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, New Delhi, Aromar Revi, Director, Indian Institute for Human Settlements, Bengaluru, Jagan Shah, Director National Institute of Urban Affairs, New Delhi and K T Ravindran, former Dean, School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi apart from the chairman.
