Hyderabad: State government is planning to build skyscrapers near Hussainsagar as the AP government is approaching same from Singapore firms.
But it has road block for TS government from AP regarding the entitled to use the secretariat premises for 10 years under the AP Reorganisation act, and TS government ask the AP government to vacate it before the period.
Whereas, the Abu-Dhabi based Lulu group connection also comes into the picture, which wants to set up a hypermarket for which the lands are being belong to.
Mr Rao also visited a two-day trip to attend the wedding of the daughter of Ashraf Alithe director of Lulu group international early in Jan.
There shopping mall in Kochi and asked them to set up mall in Hyderabad. And the representative met IT minister K.T.Rama Rao during the visit and investing an amount of Rs 2,500 crore in Telangana.And the CM was in search of suitable lands in the city by conducting aerial surveys besides visiting Erragadda to examine the lands.
After receiving feedback from officials that it would be difficult to build skyscrapes around Hussainsagar as was being envisaged by him originally due to zeroed in the land shifts in the Secretariat.
And 120 acres can be easily mobilised in Erragadda if the chest Hospital and Mental Hospital are relocated from there.
However, on the use of the Secretariat lands Rao said the cabinet will meet soon on the issue to take the decision.
