“I did not intend to hurt the feelings of any member or use any language not befitting to the dignity and decorum of the house”, he explained.
This triggered off a strong protest from the Congress. After the House reassembled and the Congress members continued their protest near the podium, the Chief Minister intervened and said he had also heard the comment of the Minister on television and was taken aback
“It is the bounden duty of everyone to maintain decency, dignity and decorum in the august House and to uphold this I had even asked my Cabinet colleague to withdraw his remarks and express regrets,” he said
