Sorry, says Air India

273100744-kirenrijijuairindia_6Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has been trapped in a controversy over allotment of seats in Air India plane recently. Three air passengers who purchased tickets and occupied the seats were asked to make room for Kiren and deputy chief minister of J and K Nirmal Singh. Despite protests the Air India told them to vacate seats. They were to travel from Leh to Delhi. The flight also took off before schedule. When brought to his notice, Kiren denied any knowledge of it. Later, Air India apologized to the passengers, who were members of employees’ families. But a fellow air passenger shot the incident in his mobile which opened up in the social media. Now the minister may face the music.
