“There was widespread rainfall in coastal Karnataka and north interior Karnataka and fairly widespread rainfall over south interior Karnataka on Wednesday,” said a Met official.
According to the Met office, it rained 25 mm in Bengaluru on Wednesday and the city is expected to experience a generally cloudy sky with few spells of rain or thundershowers.
On Wednesday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 27.6 degrees Celsius, one notch below the average temperature, and minimum temperature of 19.8 degrees Celsius which matched the average.
Bengaluru is expected to record a maximum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 20 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
Heavy rainfall was recorded on Wednesday at Mangalore (109 mm), Honnavar (68 mm), Karwar (108 mm), Madikeri (36 mm) and Agumbe (78 mm).
