On Sunday, Rajaiah went to Govt hospital in the night and stayed till Monday at Godavarikhani.
Rajaiah interacted with patients and inspected the hospital premises, medical equipment and other facilities at the hospital.
He held a review meeting with doctors and sought their opinion for improving facilities at the hospital. On Monday, Rajaiah said that Godavarikhani hospital registered the highest number of maternity cases next to Bhadrachalam govt hospital to the reporters. He expressed pique over the implementation of Arogyasri scheme in the hospital.
A medical college and multispecialty hospital would be set up in the town if Singareni and NTPC extended help said the Deputy Chief Minister.
He reprise there was no shortage of funds for supply of medicines and other equipment to the hospitals. He warned the doctors that severe action will be taken if they recured any corruption.
Rajaiah laid foundation stone for development works in Ramagundam Assembly constituency on Sunday. Ramagundam MP Somarapu Satyanarayana, Peddapally MP Balka Suman, Mayor Konkati Lakshminarayana, Ramagundam ZPTC Kandula Sandhya Rani and others were present.
