Special Status to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

modiTime is been passing way but there is no assurances on giving special status to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh it is 6 months since the state bifurcation.

The PM has received objection letters to the Centre from the CM’S of Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Odisha and West Bengal.

On the issue of this the delegates has approached the PMO and incentives around 16 times. They say that it was being worked out; but so far nothing has been moved.

According to the Bifurcation Act, Sec. 93 and 94, specifically mentions that the Union government should take action in granting special incentives for industrial and economic development of the successor states.

The expert committee has submitted its report on the new Railway Zone in the residuary state of AP but they have not yet decided.
