States are partners, says Dattatreya

Bandaru DattatreyaMinister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya said that State Governments are partners to implement labour welfare measures. States play a pivotal role in extending social security, ensuring fair wages, skilling work force and promoting industrial safety and health. He was speaking at the Regional Labour Ministers Conference for East region at Ranchi today. He recalled that chief minister and ministers including himself were associated with labour background.

Further, he reiterated that his ministry has been mandated to safeguard the interest of working class while promoting a conducive working environment for growth and harmony. Central Government has taken many initiatives for workers in one year.  Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghubar Das inaugurated the conference. State Labour Ministers of Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Odisha participated in the regional meet.
