The face off of BJP Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and the former CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal takes a new turn. It is been a fight of ego till date. Nitin Gadkari had filed a Criminal defamation charge against Kejriwal for including his name is the list of AAP’s most corrupt politicians.
During the proceeding of the case Kerjriwal was also sent to jail for not furnishing a personal bond, later he presented the bond on the advice of the High Court and was released.
Now, being more certain that the issue of the case is more about ego than about the charges, the Metropolitan Magistrate Gomati Manocha suggested both the parties to settle the matter. Responding to this Kejriwal’s counsel did mention about the possibility of a compromise, and they are proceeding in that directions.
Matter has definitely cooled down to good extent that Kejriwal was granted permanent exemption from Personal appearance.
