Monsoon session of Parliament will begin tomorrow, from July 21 to August 13, for 24 days but the meeting will go on for only 18 days. The meet is expected to be quite stormy as the Opposition parties were gearing up for cornering the ruling party on various issues including the land bill, Lalith Modi issue, Vyapam scam and about the resignation of Rajasthan chief minister. The Treasury Benches are preparing to take up 11 bills apart from 13 pending bills. Further, the ruling party is planning for arranging a separate body for consumers’ protection while amending the consumers’ Act. Salaries of judges, national commission for women bill along with GST bill will come for a discussion. Lok Pal bill seems to be doubtful again as the Parliamentary panel has decided to seek more time for examination. Land bill too is doubtful as there are chances for issue of an ordinance again on it.
