Students Clashed With Police at Osmania University

univrcityOn Wednesday, at Osmania University anxiety levels prevailed as students pelted stones and clashed with police while staging a march to Telangana state assembly. The students demanded the government to immediately fill one lakh job vacancies. The students began their protest from Arts College holding placards and banners, raising slogans against the Government. They alleged K. Chandrasekhar Rao the Chief Minister of Telangana for not fulfilled his word to fill all the vacancies after formation of Telangana state. Students played a key role in formation of the separate state and demanded justice to the unemployed youth claimed the protesters. In view of the ongoing budget session of the assembly the police stopped them at NCC Gate. The students retaliated by pelting stones on police, who responded with using their force and arresting few protestors.
The JAC comprising various student groups alleged that, early on Wednesday the police arrested its leaders including President K. Manavata Roy.
On the otherhand on Saturday KCR who stated in the assembly that vacancies will be filled in two years. The CM also said that after K. C. Kamalnathan Committee report submission, exact number of vacancies will be known the notifications for the same will be issued at regular intervals.
The JAC were not satisfied with KCR’s statement and alleged that the government is adopting delaying tactics
