Didi’s government in West Bengal got it’s earful from the Supreme Court today over the Birbhum gang rape incident. The SC has minced no words, said that “no compensation can be adequate. As the state has failed to protect the victim’s rights, it is duty-bound to provide compensation,” and has ordered the Bengal government to sanction five lakh rupees as compensation to the victim. The twenty year old tribal woman was raped by 13 men in January, the earlier compensation was 50 thousand.
