Suspension of Five MLCs of Congress

high-courtHyderabad: The Justice Vilas V. Afzulpurkar asked advocate- general of Telangana to appear the petition on Tuesday seeking suspension of five MLCs of the congress who joined the Telangana Rashtra Samiti. The judge was dealing with the petition by Telangana congress whip Prabhakar Rao seeking to affirm as illegal the inaction of the chairman of the Telangana Legislative council for not fixing the date of application for disqualification of the MLCs.

And the officials of congress have joined with the TRS and the action of the five MLCs is liable for disqualification for defecting to another party. And they said that they joined TRS without resigning from the party and MLC post, he had moved an application before the chairman of the council seeking their disqualification.

The chairman has to fix a time frame and conclude proceedings within three weeks and pass appropriate orders. It is filed on June 1 ,2014 but till date the chairman don’t start any action and urged the court to fix direct hearings and deicide the proceedings on day-to-day basis .The officials also wants to move the court seeking to declare the action of the speaker of Telangana Assembly in not disqualifying .

The high court bench chief justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and justice P.V.Sanjay Kumar issued notice against some of the officials. The bench also started proceedings against him after the perusing a report of additional district judge, while issuing the notice ,the bench adjourned the case to February 3
