Swimming in summer season is an additional hobby for all particularly youth and children but some of them meet watery grave for some reasons. This summer too claimed many such lives and daily such tragic incidents occur during summers. The mishap is not avoided in the villages as well. Daily kids and students die under unfortunate circumstances while going for a swim. Saiprasad from Kapra went for swimming in Keesara Kundanpalli and died. Three kids while playing in Kukatpally Yellamma Banda quarry died accidentally. Four girls and three boys lost their lives in Amangal Charikonda tank. By and large this pastime has turned out to dangerous.
In rural areas children go for a swim enthusiastically and take a plunge into tanks or rivers not knowing exactly the depths or whether there is a danger lurking in the form of swirling waters. So far 10 people died in tanks situated on the outskirts of Hyderabad. And this toll is said to be more in villages. Further, experts also warned that it is also risky to swim in the city pools despite supervision by trainers. In some cases organisers do not care for certain rules to be followed in the city. So experts were of the view that parents should take care of their children while they were in the swimming pools.
