Seven cases of swine flu have been reported in the City in the last two weeks, ringing the alarm for the state government and city administration to take a serious note of the spreading deadly disease. On Monday morning, a 24-year old has been admitted to acute medical ward at Gandhi Hospital after contracting swine flu from her cousin sister. Three days ago, her cousin sister was admitted to hospital with signs of swine flu. She however left the hospital without informing the authorities.
Six more members of the family that hails from Yakutpura have contracted cold, cough and viral fever, said a senior doctor at Gandhi Hospital. The patients have been asked to procure Tami Flu and Star Flu from open market.
“We have asked them not to leave without medical advice and completing the full treatment if they don’t want the rest of the family members to suffer”, said a senior doctor at Gandhi Hospital.
