In another relief for Telangana populace, the central Law Ministry has clarified the doubts on Telangana bill. The ministry has said that the bill is in complete accordance with current legal provisions and there is no need for any constitutional amendments to introduce this bill in the present form. The doubts pertaining to the need or validity of Article 371D also stand cleared by this announcement.
Connected to the same issue, the luncheon discussion between PM, other Congress government biggies and BJP group of leaders have come out. The BJP is learned to have demanded the announcement of the Seemandhra Capital along with the bill placing. They have demanded special fund announcements to the development of Rayalaseema and other backward regions. They seem to have demanded a complete, thorough discussion on the T Bill in the Parliament too.
The Prime Minister has apparently told them that the issue of Telangana is not going to die down, and hence there is no point in keeping this issue burning, jeopardizing the lives and development of the region. The BJP leaders also are said to have accepted this observation and acquiesced to full cooperation on the issue.
Now, in all probability, the T Bill will be introduced in the Lok Sabha tomorrow and all issues will be open to the country to watch.
