T-Gov Allocates 1,031 Acres for 4 Power Projects

powerThe state government of Telangana allotted the 1,031 acres of land to the proposed power projects in Khammam district. Four thermal power projects of 270 MW capacities each are set to be established in Khammam. The projects will be raised jointly by the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and the State of Telangana. The state has the plan to add 6000 MW capacity to the existing power generation.

The land has been allotted in Ramanujavaram village of Manuguru mandal and Edullabayyaram and Seetharampuram villages of Pinapaka mandal in Khammam district.

A new Joint Collector would be appointed by the state to look over the people affected under the move to acquire land. The people affected would be resettled under Rehabilitation and Resettlement People the Act of 2013.
