T-gov Removes Tax on 3-Wheelers


In a major relief to the local transportation, the KCR government has decided to remove Motor Vehicle Tax on all the three-wheelers in the state.

Three-wheeler contract carriages, three-wheeler goods carriages, all passenger auto rickshaws (four-seven seaters), agricultural tractors and trailers have been exempted from the tax. The government has also announced to waive all the pending taxes of Rs. 76.26 Crore upto the period of June 2014.

The government was represented by farmers, auto unions and other carriage owners many a times during the elections to which KCR had promised to remove the motor vehicle tax from the basic means of transportation.
