T-Gov to Farmers, Grow Crops that Require Less Water

Untitled-5To upbeat the ongoing power crisis and to hide the administration’s inability to supply power to the farmers, the government of Telangana came forward with a unique suggestion to the farmers. The State Agricultural Minister Pocharam Srinivas and Prinicipal Secretary Poonam Malakondaiah held a review meeting on Tuesday with officials to take stock of the Kharif crop and to discuss the rabi plan. The meeting concluded with an opinion that the farmers in the state should grow crops that require less water.

The government suggested farmers to not to grow paddy this season as the weather conditions are not favourable to grow paddy.
