T-Governemet to Take Over Hare Krishna Land in Banjara Hills


In 2009 the YSR government has allotted nearly five acres of land to the Hare Krishna movement in the Banjara Hills area, the Telangana government is in initiated measures to take over that land. The land is under dispute. There is a scuffle over ownership between the Hare Krishna movement, the revenue department and the endowments department.

According to the revenue officials 2.14 acres belonged to the revenue department, out of the 4.38 acres allotted to Hare Krishna, and the rest to the endowments department.

A report has been submitted by the to the government by the officials which states that, in 2009 at the time of land allotment to Hare Krishna, in survey No. 4/2, the 2.14 acres belonging to the revenue department was shown as endowment land and the government allotted it without approval from the department.

The CM asked collector Meena to find out the truth. Revenue officers found that the entire land belonging to the temple other than the land given to Hare Krishna had been grabbed.
The report has been submitted to the CM, and now he has to take a decision on this matter.
