T-MP’s roar in Parliament over Hyderabad law and order issue.

jethenderThe law-makers from Telanagana state displayed anger in Parliament over a decision that assigns law and order in the state capital of Hyderabad to the Governor.

A recent order issued by the Central Home Ministry, asked the Telangana state government to handover law and order of the joint capital limits of Hyderabad to the Governor.

Responding to which, the Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao, has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take this order back as the law and order is a state affair and centre has no right to involve in it. KCR says the transfer of power, ordered by the Union Home Ministry, violates the most basic tenets of federalism.

The 10 Lok Sabha members of TRS demanded for an urgent discussion over the issue in Parliament.

The newly born state, Telangana, shares the capital for ten years with Andhra Pradesh, from which it is bifurcated to create a new state.
