With the vision to develop Hyderabad as a global city, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao urged the Tata Group, a leading business corporate in the country, to invest in the state. CM made the request in a meeting with a group of Tata officials led by the CEO and MD of Tata Power.
CM KCR requested the group to invest about 30.000 t0 40,000 Crore in Hyderabad to help government’s mission to bring the city in the international arena.
The Chief Minister’s Office released an official statement with the details. The statement said, ‘Hyderabad, which has several software industries and with Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) also being developed, needs companies like Tata to develop it on par with any world class city’.
The Tata Group, which is also a major private firm in generating and supplying electricity, has offered to establish a power plant in T-state with a capacity to generate 1,000 MW thermal power in the next two years. They also had discussion over manufacturing and installation of solar plant and bio mass power.
