Tax burden starts

The service tax which was 12.36 percent has been increased to 14 percent now by the Modi government from today. This will raise the income of State and Central governments. Railway and petrol charges will go up from today. Service tax in first class and ac class is up by .5 percent as it reached 4.2 percent from 3.7 percent. The current increase will pave the way for rise in rail fares, airlines, banking charges, insurance, advertising, architecture, construction, credit cards, mobiles, event managements etc. Earlier, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley indicated in 2015 – 16 appropriation bill speech that a raise was imminent. Government has decided to raise service tax by 1.5 percent on all services. And it increased two percent additional cess also on selected services only for Swachh Bharat publicity.
