TDP Complains to Governor about TRS Behavior

TDP--GovernorAround 10 TDP members were suspended from the Assembly for a week when they protested against their party member Revanth Reddy to be allowed to take part in general discussion of budget. They were vacated from house by marshals. This resolution was moved by Harish Rao .Later were arrested and sent to Goshamahal police station.
It followed after TDP member Revanth Reddy refused to tender apology for his allegations against Nizamabad MP K Kavitha. Opposition leader K Jana Reddy and members of other parties were quick to fault the government for its ‘intolerant attitude’ towards Opposition members.
Leading a protest after the MLAs were released by police, TDP Floor Leader Eerrabelli Dayakar Rao asked, ‘Is it a crime if one questions the daughter of a Chief Minister?’ Chief Minister KCR intervened at this stage and made it clear that Ravanth should apologize because even great leader like Indira Gandhi had tendered apology to Parliament. The figures quoted by Revanth with regard to power consumption by AP and Telangana states were ‘completely false’ says chief minister KCR. Revanth Reddy presented the data on consumption of power by the two States between June 18 and November 1. As no response was forthcoming from Revanth, Speaker Madhusudanachary asked another member Enugu Ravinder Reddy to take part in the discussion. TDP leaders shouted slogans and demanded the Speaker to let Revanth speak.
Vexed with the ‘high-handed’ behaviour of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Ministers in the Assembly, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Thursday decided to complain to Governor E S L Narasimhan.
