TDP MLA quizzed in Nayeem’s case

r-krishnaiahTDP MLA from LB Nagar Mr R Krishnaiah was today grilled by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the crimes and settlements of gangster Nayeem. The legislator, who is also heading several BC organizations, has appeared before Mr Nagi Reddy, IG, Chief of SIT at Narsingi police station in the outskirts and he was questioned for over one hour. He was asked on the land settlements in Madhapur and ORR done by Nayeem and his gang.

Krishnaiah said earlier that Nayeem treated him as his ‘guru’. “I knew Nayeem from 1986 onwards during the time when he was active in RSU. He used to come to me and we shared our thoughts on leading people’s agitations. That was the time I led many an agitation along with students’ organizations. But I don’t know his whereabouts and illegal activities later. Just as we don’t enquire who visit the temple, I too did not bother to enquire the personal details of people around me unless they were very much close to me. I really don’t know what was Nayeem up to and why he turned as a fugitive” Krishnaiah revealed.
