Telangana Aims at More Deals in Aerospace and Defence


Jayesh Ranjan, commissioner, Industries, Commerce & Export Promotion, Government of Telangana told that the Telangana government has identified several sectors where the State has a competitive advantage, including aerospace and defence. The state government is planning to announce several incentives to these sectors in its industrial policy while it also plans for an expansion of Adibatla’s Aerospace Park.

The major national defense organizations like DRDO, DRDL, BDL, BEML and RCI are already placed in Hyderabad that have been a motive for the MSMEs in the Aerospace and defence sector.

Defence & Aerosupply Conclave is due to held in Hyderabad in November and the government is preparing to make major announcement during the event. The extension plan of Aerospace Park will also be revealed in the same conclave.

The three-day conclave begins on Nov-12 and it is being organised by Telangana government and Kenes Exhibitions. “The event will provide room for partnerships between Indian enterprises with global firms in the aerospace and defence”, said Ranjan.
