Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad was in Hyderabad on Monday. He addressed the gathering at golden jubilee celebrations of Computer Society of India (CSI).
In his key address, Mr. Prasad said that the Centre plans to promote 20 electronic clusters in the country. He announced that a cluster each has been sanctioned for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh while another cluster in each state is in line for approval.
Ravi Shankar Prasad further announced that he will recommend the Centre to approve third cluster in each state. He said that he made the promise to the Chief Ministers of both the states during his meeting.
Ravi Shankar Prasad called the big wigs of manufacturing sector like Samsung and LG to initiate making their products in India. “We are promoting all the big guns like Samsung and LG to come to India in a big way under ‘Make in India’ programme”, said the Union Minister.
