Telangana CM Quests for Parade Ground

kcrK. Chandrasekhar Rao the Telangana Chief Minister is seriously scouting for land at Erragadda for a parade ground. The arrangements are under process for the first Republic Day celebrations of Telangana State at Secunderabad Parade Grounds.

The national flag will hoisted by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad unlike KCR hoisted the national flag on Independence Day at the Golconda Fort last year. As there is a space in Golkonda they shifted the place.

A senior official told Deccan Chronicle that “The CM is quite serious about acquiring the land belonging to TB and Mental Hospital at Erragadda for Telangana Parade Grounds. But there are some hitches like encroachments that have to be cleared.”

Mr Rao hinted to senior officials to about his idea to take over the hospital lands for the Parade as that place is heart of the city. The hospital will be shifted to Vikarabad or another other suitable place.

Another official disclosed “The CM is quite serious about acquiring the land belonging to TB and Mental Hospital at Erragadda for Telangana Parade Grounds. But there are some hitches like encroachments that have to be cleared.”

Governor ESL Narasimham will hoist flag in Vijayawada in AP State first on January 26 and return to hoist the flag at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad in TS.

Still there was a talk that Governor may hoist the flag on Republic Day at Golconda, but Raj Bhavan struck to its plan.
