The budget session of Telangana Assembly will begin onSeptember 10 and the state government is busy in finalising its first budget. The budget is expected to be in the range of Rs 85,000 to 90,000 Crore.
The data is being compiled by the Finance Department, and the work is on to include all the 43 decisions taken in the state cabinet meeting held in July.
Earlier, CM K Chadrasekhar Rao held meetings with the heads of various departments to seek their views on the budget.
One of the most serious concerns ahead for the government is to allocate the budget in the power sector to overcome the ongoing crisis in the newly formed state. Financial Assistance to Students of Telangana (FAST), Kalyanalakshmi scheme and ‘My Village-My Plan’ are the other major allocations in the budget.
Intensive Land Survey to know the actual status of government lands in the states would also be announced in the budget speech.
