On Monday, officials at the Secretariat chief secretary Rajiv Sharma convened an emergency meeting with the district collectors of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts along with GHMC. He asked the officials to submit complete details within two days. He asked to submit government lands and buildings with survey numbers and photographs.
These details are uploaded in website, enabling buyers to select buildings and lands of their own choice after the government notifies them for auction. The Govt want to create a database to ensure that no problems would create in future.
Top priority is being given to Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts because office buildings in prime localities worth thousands of crores. KCR recently announced that the Secretariat will shift to to Erragadda besides building separate complexes for Hyderabad and RR district offices. The existing building will put on sale and the govt expects to raise nearly Rs 10,000 crore through this.
On Monday, the CS asked officials to give ‘utmost priority’ to submit complete details of buildings within two days.
