Telangana should get its share of electricity from AP: TRS

Chanda-Kishan-ReddyTRS continued blaming Andhra Pradesh for the current power crisis in Telangana. Chanda Kishan Reddy, state secretary of TRS said that AP government has deliberately impasse the due share of Telangan in power generation from VTPS (Vijayawada Thermal Power Station), RTPP (Rayalaseema Thermal Power Station) Sileru Hydro Power and Krishnapatnam project.

The projects were constructed in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and Telangana does have all the rights to claim electricity from those projects, says Mr. Reddy.

He added, “A major share of funds invested in these projects belongs to Telangana people”.

He further said that Telangana is supplying coal to these projects but the same state is being denied its due share.

He also state that the former leaders of the erstwhile state from Andhra region has cheated the people Telangana by constructing projects in their region ignoring Telangana.
