The single window online approval system is planned to launch next week without referring to the concessions that are yet to be granted by the Centre CM K Chandrasekhar with an aim of inviting investment applications from small and medium enterprises in the beginning.
In November itself at the Legislative Assembly in the last session Telangana CM KCR had announced the new industrial policy “TSIPASS” (Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System) and got it approved.
This should be implemented without any corruption. Though it’s over two months since the legislation was made, the industries department failed to initiate the application process since several concessions announced in the policy with regard to customs, excise duties are related to Centre, which has to take a decision on them.
Already two weeks a trial functioning of online approval system was done successfully by the industries department.
The government has categorized it as mega projects due to big investments worth over Rs 200 crore, for which the government is ensuring all clearances within three weeks. But no such mega investment proposals have come up so far since they are awaiting decision on various concessions that were promised in the new policy.
