Hurricane Nilofar over the West-Central Arabian Sea has intensified into a very severe cyclonic storm resulting in the rainfall across the state of Telangana. It is expected that the state will receive heavy rainfall in the next two days.
Khammam, Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy and Medak districts, according to the Meteorological department, will receive heavy rainfall in Telangana. The met dept has also predicted heavy rainfall in all the district of Rayalaseeman and Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts of Andhra Pradesh.
The temperature in the region fell about 10ºC suddenly. The maximum temperature recorded was 25.1ºC, while the minimum was 18.6ºC.
Speaking about thedetails of hurricane Nilofar and predicting weather forecast, K Seetharam, director of Indian Meteorological Department said, “Factors like rainfall, overcast skies, no sunshine and the northerly winds that bring the cold and heavy winds are causing the dip in temperatures. Districts in coastal Andhra Pradesh, however, will remain warmer as the Northeast monsoon has been vigorous. Whereas Telangana will remain relatively cooler for the next four days”.
