Both states finance ministers, were participating in the pre-budget meeting which was held under the chairmanship of Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley.
Yanamala Ramakrisnudu said that States will be economically strong unless primary sector was healthy or strong, healthy since majority of the population were dependent on agriculture and other primary activities.
He also said to focus on Infrastructure because unless good infrastructure exists, investments would not come.
Therefore, focus and incentives to promote infrastructure was essential at the State as well as at national level. States should be helped in this regard by the Centre.
Yanamala said that AP is facing many problems due to this recent bifurcation of state. The government should help to restore all this difficulties.
He pressurized to address the grievances of AP even after FRBM relaxations were given for a specific period by the 14th finance Commission. He also felt that it was time to do away with plan and non-plan expenditure.
