On Thursday, Mr Rao said in a press meet that said the first State meeting of the party scheduled for March 7 would be a curtain raiser ahead of several programmes being taken up by the party. He added “Efforts are on to gather one lakh party workers for the ‘Jana Garjana’ on March 7.” He added that as many as 200 groups, each consisting of 20 party activists, were already out in the streets to enlighten the people about the CPI’s tirade against the government, protesting its anti-people policies.
Mr Rao added that 800 party representatives would attend the meeting at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium here. The meeting will witness several cultural activities such as Kolatams.
Mr Rao said “In the run up to the public meeting on March 7, the party is also organising seminars and Kavi Sammelanams (Poets’ Meets). Eminent personalities like cine lyric writer Suddala Ashok Teja, popular writer Juluri Gouri Shankar and a host of writers and poets would attend the Poets’ Meet at Kavita Degree and PG College here on February 8.” He added the governance was much like the Nizam’s rule.
