On Saturday, TSPSC members had approved haragopal committee and sent them to the government and state civil services has also been recommended. The 28-member of haragopal committee submitted its report to TSPSC then sent to government and the government will take the decision.
Prof.Ghanta Chakrapani chairman of TSPSC said”This is only about the format scheme of the exams. We have sent the recommendations of the Hargopal Committee to the government. The government will take a decision and issue an order with the format scheme of each exam. After that we will finalise full syllabus.”
They reported that the scheme will remain largely same but the stress on mathematics and science will be reduced. Prof.chakrapani said,” The mathematics and science components may be reduced. There will be added components of the Telangana culture, history, economy; society. Focus will also be on the Telangana statehood struggle from the 1950s to 2014.”
Prof.chakrapani said,” whatever we need from the candidate we will test.lot of people felt that a 150-mark mathematics paper was affecting chances of candidates from rural and arts background. We want to make it accessible to all.”
