tomatina-festival-spain-bunyol-tomatoe-fight-13What began as a trivial game by two boys on last Wednesday in August in 1945 in Bunol town in Spain, the event grew up as a ‘tomato festival inviting world-wide attraction. Men and women rejoice hurling the red wipe vegetables at each other only to bathe in tomatoes. Tonnes of tomatoes are used in the melee which starts at 11.30 am and continues for 24 hours. Surprisingly the government issues tickets to watch the live show in 2013 though it was banned in 1960.
