Toyota announces lockout of two of its Indian plants

Japanese auto major, world’s largest car manufacturer Toyota has announced that it is closing two of its plants near Bangalore. The workers unions of these plants have been unable to settle their demands over salary negotiations, some sections are resorting to hampering the production forcing the company to announce lockout, explained company sources. Toyota manufactures its Camry, Corolla, Prius Hybrid models in these facilities.
